Orthopedic surgery

Surgical and non-surgical orthopedic care is designed to treat injuries, deformities and disease of the bones, joints, spine, muscles and ligaments.

This treatment often involves a team approach and may include a doctor as well as a non-doctor specialist such as a physical therapist and professionals of other specialities. Surgery is used for treatment of many orthopedic problems. In some cases, surgery is recommended as an initial treatment, but most often surgery is used when other treatments fail to relieve symptoms.
