Lower eyelids correction

Aging of the lower eyelids are accelerated by several factors, including tobacco use, excessive sun exposure, a history of allergies or swelling, repetitive eyelid rubbing, and other environmental influences. It may also have hereditary components, including lower eyelid bags that are often seen in the parents of patients with this concern.
While creams and serums with peptides, vitamins and fluid-eliminating ingredients may help alleviate the appearance of puffy under-eye area, the best surgical solution for persistent under-eye bags is lower blepharoplasty. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty can make a remarkable difference in the appearance of the face, alleviating the appearance of tiredness and old age beneath the eyes. The eyes appear fresher and more youthful, and the results may last for many years.

Lower eyelid blepharoplasty can correct conditions with an incision just below the lower lash line. Excess skin in the lower eyelid is removed through this incision. Your cosmetic surgeon may also use an incision hidden inside the lower eyelid, or a transconjunctival incision, as an alternative technique to correct lower eyelid conditions and redistribute or remove excess fat.
If the transconjunctival approach is used, there is no visible incision. If the lower eyelids are lax, as they are in many middle-aged individuals, your surgeon may recommend tightening the lower lids in addition to removing skin and/or fat (canthopexy or canthoplasty).
